Amritsar Akali BJP Candidate Arun Jaitley Receives Flak from Sikh Organizations - Jaitley was responsible for unlawful court proceedings for Sikhs Posted: 15 Apr 2014 09:19 PM PDT Arun Jaitley with Narendra Modi AMRITSAR SAHIB (April 16, 2014)—The decision by Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) to name Arun Jaitley as the Lok Sabha candidate from Amritsar has received criticism from the Sikh Nation.  In an interview with Punjab Radio USA, Panthik Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh exposed the role of Jaitley in masterminding illegal court proceedings for a number of Sikhs after Operation Blue Star. Bhai Ranjit Singh has alleged that it was at the behest of Arun Jaitley that the magistrate had ordered the court hearings to be held within the jail itself.  Bhai Ranjit Singh had appealed against this decision as it was a birth right of all Indian citizens to have court hearings held in front of the press. This case was eventually appealed in the High Court and finally in the Supreme Court where Arun Jaitley, the Public Prosecutor, ruled in favour of the Nirankaris who had massacred Sikhs in 1978.  This ruling set a precedent for future cases and helped the Government conduct court hearings in jail complexes, in the absence of public scrutiny. Bhai Ranjit Singh further stated that Parkash Badal was directly responsible for the 1978 massacre in which 13 innocent Sikhs were gunned down by Nirankaris and over 80 were injured.  Bhai Ranjit Singh alleged that Badal had given permission to the Nirankaris to hold their blasphemous parade on the pious day of Vaisakhi. As the Nirankaris fired upon the peaceful protestors in the presence of police, it was Parkash Badal who helped transfer the notorious Nirankari “Guru” out of Punjab.  He mentioned that all investigations against the Nirankari Gurbachan were held at his residence in Karnal, Haryana and it took only 1.5 years to release all guilty Nirankaris. The Khalra Mission Organization (KMO) also took a stab at Arun Jaitley while stating that the Amritsar Lok Sabha candidate is “Modi #2″.  In a press release, KMO asked all Amritsar voters to realize that the right wing BJP had compelled Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to attack Sri Harmandir Sahib.
