Ten years limit is for political Reservation i.e. Members of House of people and Members of Legislative Assembly for SC and ST.
PART XVI : SPECIAL PROVISIONS RELATING TO CERTAIN CLASSES
Article 330- Reservation of seats for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the House of the People.?(1) Seats shall be reserved in the House of the People for ? (a) the Scheduled Castes; (b) the Scheduled Tribes except the Scheduled Tribes in the autonomous districts of Assam; and (c) the Scheduled Tribes in the autonomous districts of Assam.
Article 332- Reservation of seats for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the Legislative Assemblies of the States.?(1) Seats shall be reserved for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes, except the Scheduled Tribes in the autonomous districts of Assam, in the Legislative Assembly of every State.
Article 334 - Reservation of seats and special representation to cease after seventy years.?Notwithstanding anything in the foregoing provisions of this Part, the provisions of this Constitution relating to? (a) the reservation of seats for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes in the House of the People and in the Legislative Assemblies of the States; and (b) the representation of the Anglo-Indian community in the House of the People and in the Legislative Assemblies of the States by nomination, shall cease to have effect on the expiration of a period of ten years from the commencement of this Constitution:
8th, 23th, 45th, 62th,79th,95th, Amendment in Article 334 of Constitution of India for the words "ten years" the words "twenty years"(8th), thirty year(23th), fourty years (45th), fifty years(62th) , sixty years (79th), seventy years (95th) respectively shall be substituted.

THE CONSTITUTION (EIGHTH AMENDMENT) ACT, 1959 [5th January,1960.] An Act further to amend the Constitution of India. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Tenth Year of the Republic of India as follows:---
1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Constitution (Eighth Amendment) Act, 1959. 2. Amendment of article 334.-In article 334 of the Constitution, for the words "ten years" the words "twenty years" shall be substituted.
There is no limit of Representation in Services and Educational Institution which is in fundamental Rights of Article 16 clause 4 and Article 15 clause 4 respectively. Article 15 clause 5 in Private educational Institution. | |
