Industrial development is an important area. On experimental basis, we had set up a single window synergy for convenience of industries, where all departments concerned sit together and clear mutation and conversion of land for industrial purposes.
Accordingly, we had set up a Unique Clearance Centre (UCC) for industrial land in Howrah in March, 2013.
You will be happy to know that within a year, this UCC has disposed of 100 % cases.
We are planning to set up more such centres in other districts.
