Activists, Academics, artists, lawyers and students joined hand at Jantar Mantar against the illegal arrest of Prof G.Sai Baba by the Maharastra Police. All of them expressed their outrage on the arrest and demanded his immediate release. The threat to freedom of expression and political thought has already begun and the new government will only take it forward. It is time for all of us to come together. Prof G.Saibaba need special assistance and yet he is put in solitary confinement which is absolutely illegal as he is under arrest only. Prof Sai Baba had always spoken against operation green hunt against the new economic policies of government and how they are displacing thousands of tribal in India's forest zones. The programme was organised under the banner of Jan Sanskriti Manch.
