BJP fields Modi from Vadodara too, Advani to contest from Gandhinagar
The BJP on Thursday night announced the fifth list of 67 candidates for the Lok Sabha election for after a marathon meeting of party’s Central Election Committee at BJP headquarters in New Delhi. The list has 15 candidates declared from Uttar Pradesh, 21 candidates from Rajasthan, 20 from Gujarat and 1 from Maharashtra.
BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who is contesting from Varanasi in UP, will contest from Vadodara in Gujarat. BJP veteran LK Advani will contest from Gandhinagar.
Actor Hema Malini will contest the election from Mathura. Dushyant Sing, son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, will contest from Jhalawar seat.
Pushpendra Singh Chandel from Hamirpur, Rajasthan. Olympian shooter Rajvardhan Singh Rathore will contest from Jaipur (Rural).
Former Congress leader Jagdambika Pal too got a ticket from Uttar Pradesh’s Dumaria Ganj.
Gujarat BJP leader Vitthal Radadiya will contest election from Porbander. Heena Gavit has been fielded from Narbunder, Maharashtra.
