U.S. government blocks release of new CIA torture details | 10 Sept 2015 | U.S. government officials have blocked the release of 116 pages of defense lawyers' notes detailing the torture that Guantanamo Bay detainee prisoner Abu Zubaydah says he experienced in CIA custody, defense lawyers said on Thursday. The treatment of Zubaydah, who lost one eye and was waterboarded 83 times in a single month while held by the CIA, according to government documents, has been the focus of speculation for years. "We submitted 116 pages in 10 separate submissions," Joe Margulies, Zubaydah's lead defense lawyer, told Reuters. "The government declared all of it classified."

Oh dear. The censors at Google, Yahell, and NYU are not going to like this one. This is why you need to check your spam bins for the CLG Newsletters, daily! Retired CIA Agent: 'We Run the Afghan Opium Trade' | 09 Sept 2015 | A retired CIA agent accuses the US government of trying to frame him as he is about to release a book that will "blow the lid off the CIA's drug smuggling operations in Afghanistan," reveals the Cheyenne Herald this morning. John F. Abbotsford, a 38-year old Afghan war veteran, that has also served his country as a CIA analyst, has recently been convicted of possession of child pornography [yeah, I'm sure - typical CIA frame-up of its detractors], accusations he claims "have been made up" by the US government to stop the publication of his upcoming book, The CIA in Afghanistan: 30 years of drug smuggling. "This is a desperate attempt by the US government to shut me up," he said in court. "If I'm going to face jail time, I want the truth to be known before they try to get rid of me in prison" he told the judge. "I'm not scared of their threats, whatever happens, I will never shut up," he cried out in the courtroom. [Exactly. Hence, the raison d'etre for the illegal US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan. P.S.: Former CIA asset Osama bin Forgotten was a Saudi.]

These new round of terror alerts issued by the Obama administration will provide cover for the next big, fat false flag which, in turn, will provide cover for the illegal surveillance activities of the NSA, CIA, FBI, and -- as we just learned -- the DEA. Here is the CLG compilation of many of the 're-killings' of this useful al-CIAduh operative, back from the media grave...

Two children dead after measles vaccines. And that's not the worst of it. | 11 Sept 2015 | In Kenya, when two children die shortly after receiving a measles vaccination injection, that's apparently bad for business. Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Director, John Kibosia, is being vigilant in his pursuit to make sure mothers keep taking their children in for vaccinations even after two children died shortly after receiving them. Furthermore, the cause of death is essentially being left at "undetermined." An "undetermined" death is obviously, well, better for business.

Whales to gain 'long-sought protections' as navy limits sonar use, activists say | 14 Sept 2015 | A federal court has ordered a settlement in two cases that challenged the United States navy's training and testing activities off the coasts of Hawaii and Southern California. Environmental legal aid organization Earthjustice tells the Guardian that the settlement will secure "long-sought protections for whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals by limiting navy activities in vital habitats". In March, a US district court in Hawaii found that the National Marine Fisheries Services (NMFS) improperly gave approval to the navy's use of sonar in the Pacific, an issue long contested by environmental groups that allege sonar is causing damage to marine animals' migration patterns, feeding locations, breeding and ability to hear and communicate.
