Today we remember Kanshiramji, the man who changed the political discourse in India by his seer determination and capacity to organise. Yes, Kanshiram was a man of masses. He demystified the polity. He gave voice to those who had never tested power. Yes, he created leaders from the ground.. no to sarkari babus. That was the most powerful of Kanshiramji. Today, it has reversed. Dalit polity like the brahmanical gangs is now back to sarkari babus and those who toil hard are marginalised to the 'grassroots' only. Salute to the man who made Dalits to bargain but never allowed corrupt practices to touch him personally. A man too much down to earch, who respected his cadre, who had the capacity to lead from the front and who remain a man of masses till his end.
